Our Staff
Our staffing ratio is always in accordance with Ofsted requirements.
Under 2’s Ratio 1:3
Ages 2-3 years Ratio 1-4
Ages 3 and above Ratio 1-8
Children walking to school Ratio 1-10 with a minimum of 2 staff
Each child is allocated a Key Person prior to their start date but we have found that allowing the child to choose their own key person once they during a settling in period is a more effective way of strengthening the relationships between the child, the setting and home. So your child’s Key Person may change during the settling in period.
A key person has a special responsibility for a small group of children. Having a key person ensures the child has someone they can bond with can feel happy and secure within the nursery environment. The key person is also responsible for the sharing of information with parents, carers and other settings or professionals who may be involved in your child’s time in Nursery.

“A key person has a special responsibility for a small group of children. Each key person keeps development records on each of the children in their key group and you are welcome to see their development record at any time..”
